The Insidious Rays
The Insidious Rays sent me their CD a few weeks back and its been in heavy rotation in my car ever since. The wide range of styles on their CD explore punk, rock, surf mixed in with some funk and a lot of soul. Their surf rock song, "The Mackrel" gets me off every time I listen to it. Chinese Dentist
5 guys from Tuscaloosa, AL who given the chance will drink your beer, sleep on your floor, and play rock & roll. The Chinese Dentists have released their first record entitled, "Oak City." Their sound encompasses a mix of funk, rock, blues and jazz. The record rocks and their 3 hour live shows are always a blast. Download "Propane Tank" here and go order "Oak City" off their website. Mohammad Hussain
After dozens and dozens of threatening emails, I chose the ween forum's very own Mohammad Hussain as the next featured artist. Mohammad claims, "Ween made him sit down at his four-track and spray it with poop." Settle for Try, the debut album has sold over over 5 copies and is wrapped in certified cellophane. The record has a eclectic - country, folk, rock vibe. Track 10, Buttsqueezin's was the first song I played off Mohammad's record and haven't stopped listening to it since.
